The pedagogical aim is to determine the cleanliness class of an oil sample as per the ISO or NAS standard using the comparison method.
The aim of this tool is to increase students’ awareness of oil pollution.
The analysis case consists of a complete filtering system used to isolate particles on a 0.8 µm membrane. A digital microscope with LCD screen is used to visualise and photograph particles. Finally, a visual comparison between the photo taken and the class guide determines the cleanliness class of the fluid.
This equipment completes our didactic benches and systems and is essential for maintenance training.
